UN Security Council to vote on resolution on Ukraine on February 24_ISHEJA

The UN Security Council is set to vote on February 24 regarding the United States' proposed neutral resolution on Ukraine, according to the Chinese permanent mission to the UN, as reported by TASS.

The vote is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. local time (00:00 GMT), the mission confirmed.

For the first time, the United States has chosen not to co-author a draft anti-Russian resolution for the UN General Assembly on Ukraine. The US-backed document does not accuse Russia of starting the conflict. Instead, it expresses condolences for the tragic loss of life in the Russia-Ukraine conflict and calls for an immediate end to the war.

Earlier reports suggested that the United States might present its resolution to the UN Security Council, which is more neutral compared to the resolutions proposed by Kyiv and Western nations. The US draft was shared with Security Council members on February 21.
